Within spatial structures I create in steel, I seek a path into vastness.
Though we humans may be physically small, we are capable of connecting to realms beyond the limits of the body.
It is this expansive dimension of spiritual and spatial human existence that I explore in my sculptures.

From Structures into Vastness
First, a structure must become one’s own.
A vessel for one’s inner space,
a structure that reflects one’s presence.
Its proportions are shaped until it begins to feel inhabitable
—like a place of refuge: inside a closet, under a piano, or out on a balcony.
I find joy when I sense within my structures
the suggestion of a passage toward the unknown.
The world holds immeasurable depth and vastness.
In my work, this appears as a lake, the sea, or the horizon.
